Carrick Davins Club Notes
Week of March 24th, 2025

A big week for the club with plenty of action, strong performances, and brilliant support both on and off the field.

Our U17s opened their season with a high-tempo battle against Golden-Kilfeacle in Páirc Daimín. From the throw-in, the intensity, work rate, and sideline support were top class. Serious credit to the lads — they showed grit, hunger, and real potential.

Our U13 footballers had two big outings this week. First came a fantastic win over Cahir, with an outstanding performance full of teamwork and attacking football. A few days later, they faced Clonmel Commercials in brutal conditions — cold, wet, and windy. The result didn’t go our way, but the boys showed massive heart from start to finish. These are the days that build character.

Our Intermediates opened their league campaign at Páirc Daimín against a strong Arravale Rovers side. It was a tight encounter, and while the result went against us, it gave the new management team a valuable chance to assess the squad. Focus now shifts to Clonoulty away on Saturday, March 30th.

The Academy returned Wednesday evening with a great buzz. Páirc Daimín was full of excited young players — and plenty of new faces! Training continues every Wednesday at 6:15pm, and new players aged 4 to 8 are always welcome. A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Juvenile Flag Day — your donations directly support our youngest players. Thanks also to our brilliant volunteers who helped on the day.

Our Oasis raffle is live! Two tickets are up for grabs to see Oasis live in Croke Park on Saturday, August 16th — one of the biggest gigs of the year. Tickets are available now through our social medias and Club Ticket Sellers — don’t miss your chance to win!
