*Positions Played?*

It was nearly always left half forward and corner forward.

*Favourite game played?*

Winning the minor south final in 1966 versus Kilenaule in Clonmel.

*Club players you looked up to growing up?*

Tommy Tucks Ryan was my favourite player, he was left handed like myself and was the closest player I had seen to Jimmy Doyle.

*Best players you played with?*

Mick Roche has to be the one, he was a magician on the field.

*Best memory playing?*

Defeating Ballyhale Shamrocks in the final of the Piltown tournament in 1975.

*What player trained the hardest from any squad you were part of?**

Jackie Walsh always trained hard and never missed a session. He trained like it was championship match day.

*Favourite pitch to play on?*

It has to be the Davin park, we played many a big game there in front of massive crowds.

*Name one change you would bring into hurling?*

I think that the person who gets fouled should take the free. Many players get big scores in games without playing that well. It would be nice to see those who earn the free getting the chance to be on the score sheet, but I doubt very much that this will ever happen.

*One piece of advice you would give to your younger self?*

I would tell my younger self, as a forward, to always hurl in front of the back.
