2022 Update

The past number of years have been an enormously difficult time world wide, during this period with facilities closed we took time to evaluate our vision for not only for the present but also the future.

As a club with a rich tradition we had in some quarters taken our eye of the proverbial ball, this time of inward reflection, discussion and conflict led us to some decisions that we feel will benefit our members and future members for years to come.

The committee went about adding to our fantastic Astro field and hurling wall, with the purchase of the Davin Park and it’s surrounds, a fantastic field that may well need some further developments, however we are now the proud owners of a field where many of our fondest memories and cherished results have taken place.

Our newest development which has recently been completed with the help of Apollo sports, is our fully equiped gym (see attached pics). A state of the art modern facility that can benefit current adult and juvenile players, inductions will begin shortly for our u13 & U15 players from our fully qualified S and C coaches.

The recent climate of isolation has only reinforced the value of community and togetherness and a cause that we can work towards, the framework and physical structures are now in place to rival any club nationwide, we are now calling on all members, past and present, members who may have drifted away and potential new members to really join together to make 2022 a year we can all be proud of from our academy all the way up to adult level, on and off the field .

Thankfully it looks like things are getting back to pre-covid levels, and our lives may return to some sort of normality in the not too distant future.

Our vision is ambitious but it can be achieved.

We plan on holding a number of events throughout the year to showcase our facilities and our plans for the years ahead, and we’ll make everyone aware of these in due course.
